Overview
Alliant is searching for an Audience Development & Reporting Intern to support our team with reporting dashboard updates, audience management, documentation, and data use cases for our industry-leading audience targeting and enrichment programs. The successful candidate will have an educational background or work experience in direct and digital marketing. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in direct and digital marketing within a dynamic, fast-growing company. The intern will work closely with and learn from the Chief Innovation Officer and Business Analyst, and will be based in Alliant’s Northern Westchester County, NY office.
Principle Responsibilities:
· Support CIO and Business Analyst with cross team management of audience program – identification, creation, development, description assignment and distribution of audience segments
· Maintain and monitor audience program for internal Meta-Data Management (MDM) and internal/external taxonomy documents including variable naming, descriptions and install layout changes
· Assist in the creation of data dictionaries for enrichment opportunities and digital installs
· Update digital taxonomy (counts and segment changes)
· Work with Customer Service on taxonomy updates for platform integrations
· Assist Sales and Customer Service with audience recommendations and custom data set requests
· Support Business Analyst with updating all dashboard reporting tools on a monthly basis –
· Help maintain DataHub Visualization, Digital Sales Reporting, Salesforce Monthly Reporting, Member Model, TV Viewership, Product Affinity Report, Audience Profile Report, Digital Audience Revenue
· Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external clients
· Provide constructive feedback and critical thinking to the wider business; contribute ideas and take the initiative to continually improve and develop processes
· Assist with internal metrics tracking and reporting using Excel, Smartsheet, Salesforce, and business intelligence software.
Qualifications and Skills:
·· Must have strong affinity for data and marketing; knowledge of direct/digital marketing and/or consumer profiling/insights a plus
· Strong orientation toward providing outstanding customer service, and demonstrate ability to communicate with clients and coworkers in a courteous, professional, accurate and timely manner
· Highly self-motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and effectively document processes
· Strong analytical, technical, problem-solving and organizational skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate Pivot Tables
· Experience using data visualization tools a plus (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
· A general understanding of data modeling and/or P&L knowledge a plus
· Salesforce experience a plus
Willingness to work in person at our Brewster, NY headquarters 4-5 days a week
Must be flexible, detailed, team-oriented and committed to having a good time while doing a great job
