Full job description

American Pool is hiring a full-time, year-round Aquatic Facilities Manager! This role’s main responsibility is overseeing a portfolio of pools within a geographic region. You will also be responsible for the hiring, training, and supervision of seasonal supervisors.

We are offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus for this role to the right candidate.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Be responsible for a portfolio of commercial swimming pools
  • Maintain a quality relationship with all facility property managers
  • Hire, train and manage Area Supervisors during the summer season
  • Open, maintain and close all seasonal swimming facilities
  • Maintain water quality and equipment at indoor swimming facilities
  • Recognize the parts and repairs needed at all facilities and report to Service Manager
  • Conduct area sales by preparing proposals for products, repairs, construction, and service
  • Ensure facility compliance with health department regulations
  • Maintain databases of client information
  • Attend any necessary client meeting

Aquatic Manager Requirements:

  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, time management, and decision-making skills required
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel and the Internet required.
  • Clean motor vehicle record and valid driver’s license required
  • Current Certified Pool Operator, Lifeguard, and CPR certifications preferred but not required. Training is available.
  • Previous swimming pool experience preferred
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule during the busy season from April through Labor Day
  • Any potential offer made is conditional and contingent upon being able to successfully obtain child clearances under PA Act 33 and 34

Aquatic Manager Schedule and Compensation:

  • Base salary compensation, commensurate with experience, in a bi-weekly pay cycle starting between $40,000-$50,000
  • Potential future commission earnings based on sales performance
  • $1,000 Signing Bonus after successful completion of probationary period
  • Position is classified as a full time, year-round, FLSA exempt employee
