Job Posting: Arabic Language Teacher (US Only)
Location: Tampa-Florida
Life International Academy is searching for exceptional Teacher that specialize in Teaching Arabic Language for non-Arabic speakers to join our dynamic founding school team as we launch our First Year This Fall 2024.
As the first Life-Based Skills Learning School in the world. We are currently seeking a passionate and Certified Arabic Language Teacher with expertise in teaching Elementary & Middle school students. This role presents a unique opportunity in launching our first LBL school that specialize in Arabic Montessori education. The ideal candidate will be an innovative educator ready to foster engaging and immersive language learning experiences while promoting collaboration, cultural understanding, and the well-being of our students. The candidate will also be part of the design process of the school curriculum and aligning it with the ACTFL standards.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement our Arabic curriculum with engaging lessons that incorporates life skills, ethical values, and project-based learning elements that aligns with our life-based learning approach. (Montessori background preferred.)
- Use technology To design and implement lesson plans & develop semester and yearly learning plan with focus on individualized & differentiated learning.
- Utilize our curriculum development software for precise design and coordination of the school's curriculum with the ACTFL standards, demonstrating proficiency in curriculum mapping.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes virtues, ethical standards, and global citizenship.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and execute interdisciplinary projects that address real-world challenges , addressing environmental & global issues.
- Assess student language proficiency and fluency progress through informative and formative assessments, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Develop Montessori materials and hands-on language teaching tools to enrich the learning experience.
- Participate in professional development opportunities in teaching of Arabic language to non- speakers and contribute to the school's mission and vision.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in teaching foreign languages to non-heritage speakers.
- Teacher Certification or Montessori Training is a plus.
- A minimum of four years of teaching experience in the USA, with demonstrated language proficiency.
- Native speaker or fluent in Arabic.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong proficiency in the English language in both oral and written forms.
- Proficient in utilizing technology, including learning management systems such as Canvas, Google Education Suite, and Microsoft.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Deep understanding of international cultures, arts & crafts, and music related to the language.
- Experience in proficiency-driven curriculum design and familiarity with the ACTFL or CEFR frameworks is highly valued.
- All staff will undergo background checks and screening prior to their start date. Must be Eligible to work in the USA.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in teaching Arabic as a foreign language to non-heritage speakers.
- Experience with language immersion approaches.
- Proficiency in creative cultural and folkloric arts and music.
- Training in ACTFL standards and methodologies.
- Ability to create and develop lessons in accordance with foreign language standards.
- Proficiency in using various assessment methods.
- Ability to develop curriculum and lesson plans using our student education software.

Compensation:
Starting Full-time teacher salary ranges $35,000 to $45,000 based on experience, degrees and qualifications for a 10-month contract, with bonus opportunities for work during summer and breaks. Higher Compensation for upper grades & higher qualifications.
