Arborist Trainee Internship | Rockford, ILRockford, IL, US Primary Location: Rockford, IL

Position Overview Spring - Summer 2025 Arborist Trainee Internship with Tree Care Enterprises

Tree Care Enterprises is looking for enthusiastic and motivated students who are interested in building hands-on experience in the areas of Tree Care and Plant Health Care.

STARTING DATE: Flexible — We are currently accepting applications for Spring/Summer 2025 Selections will be made by May 15, 2025

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

Learn from experienced arborists! We offer a unique opportunity for students to gain practical experience in tree care best practices, tree climbing, chainsaw use, plant health care, and customer service.
Work on residential, municipal and commercial properties under the mentorship of seasoned professionals.
Participate in office, sales and field-based activities, gaining insights into all aspects of the tree care industry.

HOURS: 40-50 hours per week; Monday - Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

Currently studying Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Forestry, or a related field.
Valid driver’s license required; a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus.
Passion for arboriculture and plant care.
Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Reliability and strong work ethic.
Good communication and collaboration skills.

SALARY: Starting at $20.00 per hour.
