Full job description
Artisan Sourdough Baker
No experience needed……we train and train and train! IZOLA is a great place to grow and learn.
IZOLA Bakery is looking to hire driven individuals who are passionate about food, baking, and creating AMAZING customer experiences. We serve our croissants and sourdough hot-from-the-oven all day long. This is the role that makes that happen - we are seeking a team member to join our bake and sourdough team. You'll work with the team to manage our bakes and keep the ovens running, and also produce artisanal sourdough.
Prior baking or production experience is not required, what really matters to us is that you have optimism, kindness, intellectual curiosity, a strong work ethic, empathy and self-awareness, and integrity. We can teach you the rest!
Our ovens are right out front, so as a Baker you'll also get the opportunity to interact with our guests who are just as passionate about sourdough and croissants as we are.
When producing sourdough, your tasks will include shaping loaves, maintaining the kitchen and production equipment, preparing the sourdough amendments, scaling our dry ingredients, and training new team members.
Must be comfortable with computers and apps. While no prior experience with Google Sheets and Slack are required, must have the ability to learn these two systems.
Come join an amazing team in a family-owned bakery loved by the community. We were named by Yelp as the #1 Bakery in the U.S. Wow! We also offer paid vacation and 401(k) benefits.
Part-time with flexible availability required, including early mornings (as early as 4a) and weekends.
