Objective

Beaches Chapel School is a K-12 private Christian school in Neptune Beach, FL. The role of the Assistant Principal is to serve the Principal in overseeing the school by helping develop, articulate, and implement the shared vision of the school community.

Key Responsibilities

1. Vision and Planning:

- Assist in setting long-term goals and objectives for the school.

- Help develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the school’s mission.

- Continuously evaluate and improve school programs and initiatives.

2. Administrative Support:

- Assist the Principal in daily school operations.

- Help implement and enforce school policies and procedures.

- Manage school schedules, events, and resources.

3. Academic Oversight:

- Support curriculum development and implementation.

- Monitor and assess student academic performance.

- Provide guidance and support to teachers in instructional practices.

- Promote high standards of teaching and learning.

4. Staff Management:

- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, training, and evaluation of school staff.

- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.

- Address staff concerns and assist in conflict resolution.

5. Student Discipline and Safety:

- Enforce school discipline policies and procedures.

- Ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment.

- Address and resolve student disciplinary issues.

6. Spiritual Leadership:

- Promote the school’s Christian values and mission.

- Organize and lead spiritual activities, such as chapel services and prayer meetings.

- Provide spiritual guidance and counseling to students and staff.

7. Community Engagement:

- Build and maintain relationships with parents, students, and the community.

- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

- Encourage parental involvement and participation in school activities.

Education & Experience

· Master’s Degree required.

· 5-7 years of education experience

· Must have knowledge of state and LICS accreditation standards and help maintain these with employees.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

· This position will be a full-time, salaried position reporting to the School Advisory Council.

· Standard office hours are 7:30 am-3:30 pm (Mon-Fri), however, this position may require amended work hours during special events or projects.

Work Environment

· Beaches Chapel School maintains a professional work environment and shares campus space with Beaches Chapel Church. Proper work attire and professional behavior are necessary with staff members, school students, and families. Staff members should also abide by security requirements established by Beaches Chapel while school is in session.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
