Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Asst. Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction and manufacturing projects from start to finish. You will organize and oversee project and manufacturing procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. To be successful in this position, you must be able to coordinate a team of internal and external stakeholders of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind, and great organizational/ time management/ and people skills.
The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to quality requirements and without exceeding budget.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

  • Develop and execute best-in-class procurement and logistics processes across both construction and manufacturing
  • Promote innovation and transform traditional construction and manufacturing practices by driving new methods and engineering solutions through leveraging industry insights.
  • Assist with developing best-in-class supplier partnerships and deliver continuous improvements in both projects and manufacturing as it pertains to quality, schedule, and cost
  • Assist project managers with project scheduling and resource management to ensure project deadlines are met
  • Assist project managers with subcontractor bidding, subcontractor contracts and project cost analysis, as needed
  • Provide all internal field managers, internal technicians, material vendors and subcontractors with the necessary resources to perform their work effectively and efficiently
  • Evaluate project and manufacturing progress in conjunction with the construction and manufacturing schedules with the ability to identify the critical path and advise of deviations accordingly
  • Prepare detailed project and manufacturing status reports for distribution to internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for company-wide construction and manufacturing safety program
  • Travel to completed and under construction installations and manufacturing vendor plants as directed by Sr. Management

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years experience in the construction, material handling, manufacturing, logistics or a related field
  • BS/BA in engineering, construction management, or relevant field is a plus
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material procurement, and project management principles
  • Good knowledge of construction and manufacturing health and safety standards along with quality methodologies
  • Familiarity with construction/project management software
  • Familiarity with Solidworks and AutoCAD is a plus
  • Knowledge of how to read and interpret construction schematics and manufacturing detail is a plus
  • Experience effectively leading a construction or manufacturing team is a plus
