Duties and Job Responsibilities
- Adhere to all applicable state, federal, and agency rules, policies, procedures, and regulations at all times, including Affirmative Fair Marketing Housing plans and any funding program requirements.
- Work closely with the property management team in managing the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of affordable housing properties.
- Assist in maintaining optimal property financial health by aiding in the completion of processes such as:
- Collecting rent and all applicable fees and/or resident charges and tracking delinquent accounts;
- Coordinate with residents regarding rent payments, providing resources or alternatives as appropriate and following up as necessary;
- Assist in the completion of resident move-out processes, including inspections and assessment of damage charges within the established timeframe.
- Coordinate programming to encourage a sense of community and address the residents’ needs (i.e. social, economic, health, educational) through:
- Notify residents of resources, events, workshops, etc.;
- Establish and engage partnerships with community organizations to bring resources to the properties;
- Collaborate with other property management staff to respond to resident issues, including complaints, conflicts, problems, and requests for assistance, making referrals to social service agencies as needed.
- Provide support in the completion of timely and accurate annual re-certifications and lease renewals.
- Assist in the Reasonable Accommodation process.
- Provide a high level of customer service and ensure resident satisfaction through strong, open communication and follow-through.
- Maintain resident confidentiality.
Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
- Knowledge of social service agencies and experience working with social service agencies
- Competency in MS Office and relevant databases and software
- Customer focus and experience working with marginalized populations
- Interpersonal savvy with strong communication skills
- Well organized and excellent time management skills
