Assistant Shipper & Receiver

Position Summary:

Presto Tape is searching for a Shipper-Receiver Assistant to join our team on day shift from 8:00AM-5:30PM M-Th 8:00AM-3PM F. Accelerate your personal and professional growth by joining a team that cares about you and makes an investment in your career.

Responsibilities:

Safe operation of all material handling equipment.

• Inspect forklifts daily for proper compliance with operational and safety standards
• Obey speed limits, pay attention to load stability, keeping an eye out for pedestrians)
• Ensure trailers are properly docked for loading and unloading
• Make sure wheels are chocked, and the trailer is safe for you to travel on

Maintain cleanliness in all areas of warehouse.

• (Sweep up and empty trash, pick up empty pallets, make sure outside docks are clean of all debris)

Maintain accuracy of all locations in warehouse.

• With scan gun make sure locations have what is listed in gun

Properly prepare pallets of product to be shipped.

• Banding, Weighing, Stretch Wrapping, and anything else that is needed to help ensure that the shipment arrives in good condition

Prepare appropriate paperwork for all outbound freight

• Make sure paperwork is turned in to the appropriate person in a timely manner.

Inspection of inbound freight and paperwork

• Make sure qty is correct and no damage, check freeze tags.
• Make sure all supplies that are received are delivered to and put in appropriate area.
• Make sure paperwork is turned in to the appropriate person in a timely manner.

Coordinate any returned goods per company procedures

Necessary Skills & Experience:

• Forklift experience
• Warehousing or shipping receiving experience
• Be punctual and reliable when scheduled
• Stay productive during your work shift
• Capable of working independently

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Be a team player and proactive
• Must be able to travel to Bensalem, PA daily
