Associate Veterinarian
Whole Health Veterinary Care is searching for an Associate Veterinarian in order to develop & expand our new practice and better serve our local community.

Associate Veterinarian Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains animal health by diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries.
- Seeks education in and maintains skills related to Low Stress Handling and Fear Free techniques.
- Determines the nature of disease or injury by examining pets and/or exotic animals.
- Manages chronic health issues with required monitoring and medication management.
- Restores animal health by treating animals surgically or medically.
- Prevents and manages any/all state recognized zoonotic/reportable diseases.
- Documents actions by completing and updating forms, reports, and animal records and reporting diseases to public health officials.
- Promotes health of animals by advising animal owners about sanitation measures, feeding, and preventative care.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Completion of Veterinary Medical Degree (e.g. DVM, MDV, or equivalent).
- State license to practice in the profession (in good standing).
- Qualify for DEA license & state-controlled drug license.
- USDA Accreditation is preferred.
- Exotics Specialization preferred (Board certification preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of animal behavior, animal husbandry, & basic animal safety.
- Customer service & medical documentation skills.
- Professional Judgment & Integrity.
- Excellent verbal communication.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
