Role Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. This role is critical to our mission of offering exceptional mental health care, as it involves direct patient care, supervision of nurse practitioners, and the education and development of junior clinicians. The ideal candidate will be deeply committed to patient well-being, exhibit strong leadership skills, and have a passion for advancing the field of psychiatry through education and mentorship. This is a 70% remote position. Physician will be expected to work in-office from time to time as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing management for a diverse patient population.
  • Supervision: Oversee the clinical work of nurse practitioners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and adherence to clinical guidelines and best practices.
  • Mentorship: Actively participate in the education and professional development of junior clinicians, including residents and fellows, through regular training sessions, workshops, and one-on-one mentorship.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize treatment outcomes for patients.
  • Innovation: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our remote care delivery model by providing feedback and suggestions for technological and process enhancements.
  • Advocacy: Promote mental health awareness and the destigmatization of mental illness within the community and the broader healthcare landscape.

Requirements:

  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of New York or eligible for licensure.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in psychiatry, with demonstrated expertise in patient care and mental health treatment.
  • Previous experience in supervising nurse practitioners and mentoring medical students or residents preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues in a remote setting.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, continuing education, and professional development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $260,000.00 - $330,000.00 per year
