Who are we:
Manchaca Garage is a locally owned and operated automotive shop located in Manchaca Texas. We specialize in Asian & Domestic vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance services. Established in 2013, We prioritize honesty, teamwork, and high-quality work over rushed or unnecessary repairs. Our mission is to provide customers with everything they need to keep their vehicle safe and on the road for years to come, with a service standard of excellence.
What we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a highly experienced automotive technician that has 10 or more years of hands-on experience with repair and maintenance preferably on Asian and Domestic vehicles. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask, be driven to complete tasks at a high standard, be organized, and work with a positive high-energy attitude. We maintain a steady workflow with a strong mix of diagnostics, maintenance and repair tasks.
Skills/Knowledge:
- 10 years of automotive technician experience
- Must be able to effectively and efficiently use computerized equipment for diagnostics, specifically Snap-on diagnostic tools
- Able to work independently during problem solving and repairs using technical judgement and skills in order to achieve results
- Able to perform repairs, basic maintenance, or complex repairs
- Interest in providing a positive customer experience
- Have clear and effective communication skills with team members in order to complete repairs to the highest quality of work. Be able to speak with non-mechanical individuals about technical diagnostics as needed, such as customers
- Must be able to drive a standard transmission vehicle.
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs frequently
- Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of electricity and circuits.
- Prior knowledge of preforming vehicle alignments preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify problems/safety issues
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner and be aware of who is within earshot. We are a small shop and customers are often nearby.
- Maintain accurate records/notes of inspections and parts used for vehicle repair
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Must provide hand tools/tool box
- Reliable source of transportation
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to work Monday through Friday
- Ability to work in hot/cold work environments since it is an open air shop
- Be punctual, work starts at 8:00 you are expected to arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of the work day.

Schedule:
Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Fridays: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
1 Hour lunch Mon-Thurs
½ Hour lunch Fridays
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
