We are currently seeking an experienced Automotive/Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team. In this role, the successful candidate will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of equipment ranging from UTV’s to heavy duty diesel trucks. You will have the opportunity to learn and demonstrate your skills as an automotive, heavy-duty diesel and hydraulic mechanic at a company that offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and the safety-first environment. Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience as an Automotive/Diesel Mechanic (preferred)
  • 2 years of experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems (preferred)
  • Strong work ethic, motivated and dependable
  • Strength, stamina, and mobility to perform heavy physical work
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test

Job Summary

  • Maintains our fleet of woodchippers, cars/vans, medium and heavy-duty trucks, mobile trimmers, UTVs and more
  • Inspects, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs all equipment
  • Perform repairs at our on-site shop facility or in the field as needed
  • Accurately record time, parts, and inspection checklists
  • Move company equipment safely as needed
  • Assists with work zone safety procedures
  • Demonstrates high safety standards and proper maintenance procedures
  • Perform all maintenance procedures assigned
  • Perform various other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Hentges Tree Services is a local, family-owned and operated business with a mission to provide a wide range of tree care services that will keep trees healthy, attractive and safe for those living near them. Hentges Tree Service began in 1969 maintaining transmission power lines for Central Electric Power Cooperative in Jefferson City, MO. That same year, we secured a contract clearing distribution power lines for Three Rivers Electric Cooperative in Linn, MO and have worked for Three Rivers continuously since. We have grown to work for some of the largest and most progressive rural electric cooperatives all over the state of Missouri. We employ experienced and well-trained team members and utilize the latest technology to help ensure uninterrupted electricity to tens of thousands of consumers in Missouri. We are proud to serve our utility customers and bring this same level of expertise to our residential and commercial customers.

Safety

Hentges Tree Service has invested heavily in safety. We work hard to ensure that every one of our team members goes home healthy at the end of the day. We employ two Certified Tree care Safety Professionals (CTSP) to coordinate all of our safety and compliance programs. There are currently fewer than 300 safety professionals nationwide to attain the CTSP designation. Hentges Tree Service is a drug free workplace.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
