The Lane Law Firm, a plaintiff’s litigation firm with a growing small business bankruptcy practice. We are seeking an experienced paralegal to join our team.

Primary Objectives:
- Assist bankruptcy attorneys in obtaining a positive resolution for clients (confirmation, discharge, settlement, etc.)
- Coordinate with the intake & client relationship team members to ensure new clients are successfully onboarded
- Prioritize and rebalance tasks to prevent last minute work or filings.
- Seek opportunities to exceed client’s expectations
- Document activity and progress in Firm’s case management system
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Draft required bankruptcy petitions, motions, notices, etc.
- Electronically file in Federal Courts (and State as needed)
- Calendar all deadlines, hearings, etc., for assigned cases
- Gather, or delegate the gathering of, required client documents
- Log hours in Firm’s case management system
Background & Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree, or requisite experience
- 3+ years debtor experience
- Must have a heart for helping others
- History of a "can do" attitude instead of "not my job"
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Willing & able to work in office M-F 8:30-5:30 (6-7 pm, 2-3 days/month)
- Willing & able to support multiple people (multiple “bosses”)
- Understand the fluidity of role boundaries in a small business (20 employees)
- Bilingual/Spanish helpful, not required
- Enjoys a “David versus Goliath” environment
