Barista

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages while providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced café environment. Your role will also involve cash handling and maintaining food safety standards to ensure a clean and welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes.
• Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing transactions accurately.
• Handle cash and credit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all customers.
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while managing time effectively during busy periods.

Experience

• Barista experience is required.
• Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred, particularly in café settings.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
• Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage but not required; training will be provided.
• Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is beneficial but can be learned on the job.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $15.00 per hour
