Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Overview:

As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will play a crucial role in providing direct therapeutic services to individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities. Under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will implement behavior intervention plans designed to improve social, communication, and behavioral skills. This position requires patience, compassion, and a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of individuals and families.

Responsibilities:

1. Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by the BCBA to address individualized goals and objectives.

2. Provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy sessions in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.

3. Collect accurate data on client progress and behavior using designated measurement tools.

4. Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to modify intervention strategies as needed based on ongoing assessment and analysis.

5. Assist clients with activities of daily living (e.g., toileting, dressing, feeding) as necessary.

6. Maintain a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for clients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being at all times.

7. Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and other team members to provide updates on client progress and ensure consistency across environments.

8. Participate in team meetings, trainings, and workshops to enhance professional development and stay current on best practices in ABA therapy.

9. Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and other relevant regulatory bodies.

10. Maintain documentation and records in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred.

2. Completion of RBT certification program and current certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

3. Experience working with individuals with ASD or other developmental disabilities preferred.

4. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients and their families.

5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

7. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client locations as needed.

8. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on client scheduling needs.

9. Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality.

10. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
