Overview

Nutex Health is seeking an experienced Benefits Manager to oversee the administration and compliance of our employee benefits programs. This role supports 1,500+ employees across 27 locations in 11 states within a fast-paced, public company environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and optimize benefit programs (Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA/FSA, STD/LTD, Life, 401(k), supplemental plans)
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, and other regulatory requirements
  • Communicate and negotiate with various benefits providers to identify vendors and benefits packages that are suitable for our employees and cost-effective for the business
  • Supervise open enrollment planning and execution, and ensure timely eligibility changes and terminations
  • Manage 401(k) plan operations, audits, filings, and location onboarding
  • Troubleshoot Workday-to-carrier integrations and maintain carrier account structures
  • Provide benefits communication and employee support
  • Partner with Payroll, HR, and Accounting on benefits processes and billing, including proper navigation in Workday
  • Oversee annual renewals of benefits plans and claim reviews for all benefit plans.
  • Responsible for overseeing benefits plan audits, monitoring administrative costs of our benefits programs, and recommending cost-efficient alternatives.
  • Maintain good working relationships with benefits providers, brokers, TPAs, vendors and auditors

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in similar role with employee population of 1500 in multistate environment
  • Experience managing and administering self-insured and voluntary plans
  • Knowledge of computerized HRIS – Workday experience a plus
  • Experience managing brokers, TPAs and related benefits vendors
  • Experience implementing new benefits programs and managing major changes
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word
  • Knowledge of current federal and state labor and benefits laws and regulations including but not limited to COBRA, EEOC, ERISA, FLSA, HIPAA
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
