Full job description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed as a RN, LPN or CPM in the State of Indiana
- Experience in intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal care preferred
- Current BLS and NRP
- Aligned with Birth Center philosophy
- Self-directed and committed to providing superior care and education to families and assisting the Certified Nurse Midwives in the provision of care
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Birth Assistant provides client care in the clinic for prenatal and office visits. They also provide care for the client and family during labor, birth and postpartum period at birth center. The Birth Assistant may also participate in the provision of client education programs, community outreach, and center operations in collaboration with the Administrative and/or Director of Midwifery.
