Full job description

The Box Office staff position is for a friendly, responsible, attentive and organized person. We're seeking a person with a passion for live music and concerts. This position is perfect for students looking for evening and weekend work while in school.

MAJOR DUTIES

Setting up door station for efficient roomflow.
Checking patron IDs to liquor compliance laws.
Using cash register to take cover charges.
Handling traffic flow at show entrance.
Maintaining and securing a cash drawer.
Managing guest lists, will call and other ticket intake.

REQUIREMENTS

Reading and counting/math proficiency.
Clear communication skills.
Pleasant, enthusiastic work attitude and personable demeanor.
Ability to calmly and professionally deal with potentially difficult situations or patrons.
Ability to lift at least 30 pounds.
Evening and weekends availability.
Cashier/Point of Sale experience
Reliable transportation to work.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE APPRECIATED

Prior venue or box office experience.
Passion for live music.
Interest in advancement within the department/venue.

HOURS

Shift Duration: averages around 3 to 6 hours. Shifts vary depending on show.
Shift Per Month: The number of shifts available will vary from month to month, depending on Amsterdam’s entertainment calendar. Average shifts per month per employee is 4-10.

Scheduling: Shifts are scheduled one month at a time and are assigned based on availability and performance.
