PickUp Bubble Tea is looking for bubble tea barista to join our team.

We are looking for a Full-time employee to join our bubble tea shop in Mount Kisco, NY. Bubble tea barista will be responsible for preparing cold, frozen, and hot drinks and providing excellent customer service to our guests including taking orders, educating customers on menu items, and making recommendations. Our employees will help us to make PickUp Bubble tea a fun exciting environment that brings a little joy to our customers one drink at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers as they enter
  • Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
  • Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences for dairy and sugar ratios)
  • Prepare beverages following recipes
  • Prepare tapioca and other toppings
  • Clean and maintain the bubble tea shop
  • Follow opening and closing procedures
  • Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
  • Keep the bar area clean
  • Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
  • Learn and comply with health and safety regulations
  • Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
  • Fulfills online orders efficiently and accurately
  • Detail-oriented, paying attention to product and order accuracy
  • Eagerness to learn product knowledge, customer service standards, and store operations

Skills

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Ability to gauge customers’ preferences
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Comfort using basic computer technology for use of point of service (POS) and communication for scheduling
  • Basic math skills

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to read and speak basic English
  • Ability to speak Spanish and high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, stand/walk for at least 6 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach with or without reasonable accommodation

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds
  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
  • Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including afternoon and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, blenders and cup sealing machines

Pay: $13.00/$15.00 per hour

11:00 am: to 3:00

Monday - Saturday Evening shift. (2 hires)

3:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Sunday ( 2 hires)

  • Food service: 1 year (Required)
