Building Maintenance Engineer

BGP Enterprises is seeking for an experienced on-site Building Maintenance Engineer for office buildings in Springfield, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, operating, and repairing various systems within our facilities.

Duties:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Conduct inspections to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and repair as needed.
• Operate tools and equipment required for maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.

Skills:

• Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with commercial building maintenance.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and industrial hydraulics.
• Ability to use tools such as ammeters and voltmeters for diagnostics.
• Familiarity with high voltage systems and safety protocols.
• Experience operating scissor lifts for elevated work.
• Strong understanding of commercial electrician practices.
