General Position Description
The candidate will lead Business Development efforts for the Cole Roofing Service Division. The Territory Account Manager is a motivated and self-directed individual who creates a weekly Business Development plan based on the strategy determined. The Territory Account Manager requires a positive, motivated, and goal-oriented sales professional. Our teammate will create and execute on a sales roadmap in order to identify where to find and close new business revenue, and cultivate strong relationships with existing clients, in order to further mine those businesses for new revenue generating opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Cole Roofing management team to create a sales plan and strategy.
- Identify expectations for daily/weekly/monthly calls, events to attend, customer strategy.
- Participate in Accelerent and other company networking opportunities and marketing events.
- Utilize various lead sources.
- Review plan monthly (at a minimum) and update results.
- Spend time getting to know all Estimators, following guidance from them, on opportunities that require attention.
- Update and utilize CRM system.
- Constantly improve commercial roofing knowledge. Understand various Company product and service offerings.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years prior commercial account management and business development experience.
- Basic computer skills and smart tablet knowledge.
- Experience in territory and customer development, including cold calls.
- Understand customer segmentation.
- Experience in reviewing customer trends and adjusting plans.
- Sharp communications skills on phone, in email and in person.
- Passion for finding new clients and following up with existing clients.
- Ability to work well with all teammates, clients, vendors, and key partners.
Preferred, but not required, experience:
- Business to Business selling experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or greater.
- Experience in estimating commercial roofing and/or metal panel projects.
- 3 years sales in Roofing or a related Subcontractor industry.
- Sales training experience.
- CRM experience.
