Southeast Scanning & Cutting Services (SESCS) provides concrete scanning, cutting and coring services to commercial contractors, tradesman, and engineers so they may safely cut, drill or anchor in concrete.

SESCS is seeking an experienced Business Development Representative (BDR) who will be focused on increasing the company’s market share and revenues. This will be accomplished through a combination of researching, identifying and actively developing both new business opportunities and servicing the existing client base.

Must have a minimum of two years’ experience or exposure to the GPR scanning and concrete cutting industry.

The BDR will be responsible for strategically identifying, cultivating and maintaining long-term relationships with both potential and existing clients. They will accomplish this through direct prospecting, lead-nurturing, networking, attending and engaging in various industry, professional and trade association gatherings, Lunch and Learns, jobsite visits, and attending trade shows.

As the BDR is the ‘face’ of SESCS it is imperative that they positively and effectively communicate SESCS’s value proposition, strong reputation, and history of success.

An established network of relationships in the construction, design, and engineering industries is a plus. The BDR will be self-motivated, organized, and driven with a keen ability to identify customer needs and drive a relentless pursuit of solving those challenges with the right solution at the right time. This role reports to the President of SESCS.

Business Development Manager Required skills

· Ability to sell at Project Manager, Superintendent and Preconstruction levels

· Comfortable talking to C-Suite leaders at the Developer, General Contracting and Specialty Trade levels

· Strong industry presence and presentation skills

· Ability to report and provide feedback to management using actual data

· Maintain and update CRM records for Business Development and sales activities

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strategically identify, cultivate and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients

· Build brand awareness, and initiate/maintain relationships with existing clients through various forms of communication (i.e. phone calls, email, in-person meetings)

· Research, find and evaluate new business opportunities through direct prospecting, phone calls, networking, attending various industry, professional, and specific trade association events.

· Design and develop effective presentations to introduce SESCS’s capabilities and value proposition to potential clients

· Stay current on industry trends and best practices

  • Must be able to utilize market data, trends and forecasting to qualify project leads
  • Generate monthly reports on new business development activities and other key indicators to the SESCS management team

· Prudently manage the business development budget according to company policy

· Ability to read drawings and perform quantity take-offs and pricing for small projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
