Retail Sales Associate:
If you are looking for an amazing opportunity with the fast-growing brand, we invite you to join our Buddy’s Boardwalk Empire in Atlantic City.
Candidates should enjoy high-volume casino environments as well as an internal sense of urgency and the ability to multitask.
MAIN DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Maintaining an upbeat and positive attitude from beginning to end of shift.
- Cash handling in a high volume setting.

- Speaking clearly & effectively to communicate with guests & coworkers
Prep Cook:
Do you have passion for food? Looking for a talented and reliable Deli/Prep cook to be part of our team in Buddy’s Boardwalk Empire in Atlantic City. Must have proven experience in deli and baking, while working in the same environment.
The PREP COOK role is responsible for prepping deli meat, food and toppings for our new savory items such as our pizza’s and sandwich, as well as our signature pastries.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 1+ years Deli/Food Prep, Baking or a Culinary Program Degree
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office(Word, Excel)
- Ability to work well in a busy environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time (8+ hours a day)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays (according to customer demand)
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares food for customers, including slicing deli meats and cheeses, making sandwiches, and pricing and packaging items.
- Learns about new deli items and menu options quickly.
- Operates all deli equipment according to safety guidelines.
- Cleans and sanitizes deli equipment and food surfaces, including meat and cheese slicers, deli display cases, and utensils
- Ensure exceptional product by following recipes, understanding prep procedures, and maintaining raw materials quality
- Make sure our baked goods are baked and decorated according to Carlo’s Bakery product standards
- Keep up with pace of store and customer flow
- Avoid overproduction during slow business weeks
- Rotate product in freezer/walk-in using FIFO method
- Understand proper use of all equipment: ovens, mixers, sheeters, scales, walk-in, and freezer
- Be quick, accurate and organized
- Respect your customers’ and co-workers’ space and time
- Prepare special orders to ensure customer specifications are met
- Make sure customers receive exceptional customer service at all times
- Ensure operations are in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Greet, assist, provide efficient service and thank guests in a prompt, courteous, friendly and business-like manner in order to promote the company image as a service-oriented operation
- Guide FOH staff on product questions and offer assistance in finding or suggesting product selection to customers
- Perform other duties as directed by a manager
Line Cook:
Here at Buddy’s Boardwalk Empire we are currently looking for a professional Line Cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and set up stations for the menu. Line Cook duties will consist of assisting the executive chef and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
- Stock inventory appropriately.
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Requirements:
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook.
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
- Familiar with industry’s best practice.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively to supervisors, employees, vendors, and guests.
- Must be able to constantly stand and exert well-paced mobility for a period up to four hours in length.
- Must be able to lift, handle, carry food, small wares, equipment, supplies and paper goods at a minimum of 50 pounds
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 50 per week
