Full job description
Job Title: Home Visitor
Immediate Supervisor: Lisa Zwiener
Duration: Part-time, approx 36-40 hours per month
Our Mission: Positive Bright Start administrates training, claims, and dispursement for the federal Child and Adult Food Program. We provide support and build relationships with CACFP participating home daycares, striving to educate care providers and children on the importance of good nutrition and healthy habits to last a lifetime.
Job Description: The Home Visitor travels to home care locations -- dispursed throughout Douglas and surround Eastern Kansas counties -- and performs the required home care visits and compliance checks, helps care centers get started with the program, and participates in program required nutrition trainings.
Job Requirements:
A minimum of High School diploma or GED
Pass a background check
Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle for traveling to visits
Experience working with children
Availablity between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday, with *very* occassional evening or weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Decision making, self management, organizational, and basic computer skills
Effective people skills with individuals from all ages and roles, including conflict resolution
CACFP experience, prefrerred but not required
Bachelors Degree in Child Developement, preferred but not required
Home Visitor experience, preferred but not required
Other Job Duties:
Participate in monthly Positive Bright Start staff meetings
Complete ongoing professional development
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 10 per week
