Cafe Shift Manager

Esteamed Coffee is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cafe located in Cary, NC. Our mission is to lower the unemployment rate and increase the quality of life for adults with intellectual, developmental, communication, and/or visual disabilities by creating meaningful jobs and social opportunities in a warm, supportive environment. We are looking for a Shift Manager to join our team as we continue to increase hours and services. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is supportive, patient, inclusive, takes initiative, and is good at setting professional boundaries.

Reporting to the Assistant General Manager with the support of the Operations Director, this individual will guide the daily routines of adult team members with disabilities and be an expert in all coffee shop operational tasks. This is a part-time position of approximately 24-27 hours per week, including one or two evenings a month for special events (typically Thursdays). The Shift Manager will typically work Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, requiring a minimum of two opening shifts per week. The Shift Manager also needs to have flexibility to sub for other managers when they are off, including Fridays and Sundays.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 27 per week
