Cafe Shift Manager

Esteamed Coffee is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cafe located in Cary, NC. Our mission is to lower the unemployment rate and increase the quality of life for adults with intellectual, developmental, communication, and/or visual disabilities by creating meaningful jobs and social opportunities in a warm, supportive environment. We are looking for a part-time Shift Manager to join our team as we continue to increase hours and services. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is supportive, patient, inclusive, takes initiative, and is good at setting professional boundaries.

Reporting to the Operations Director, this individual will guide the daily routines of adult team members with disabilities and be an expert in all coffee shop operational tasks. This is a part-time position of approximately 17.5 - 20 hours per week, including one evening a week for special events (held on Tuesdays or Thursdays). The Shift Manager will typically work three or four days a week between Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, requiring a minimum of two opening shifts per week. The Shift Manager also needs to have flexibility to sub for other managers when they are off, including Fridays.
