Camp Bow Wow® Crestwood – Camp Counselor
About the Job
- A Camp Counselor assists with dog care, including heavy cleaning and play yard monitoring.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor dogs in the play yard.
- Maintaining a clean environment for all dogs by adhering to a rigorous cleaning schedule.
- Maintaining a safe environment for all dogs by paying attention to dog behavior and interactions.
- Feeding, cleaning cabins, lifting heavy items.
- Constantly on the move, interacting with dogs and team members.
- Provide excellent customer service to Pet Parents.
- Completing regular cleaning, grooming, bathing, training, and enrichment on schedule and by appointment.
- Checking in and out dogs.
Essential Skills
- Extremely energetic, outgoing, upbeat with a positive personality.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace, in a team environment, and have exceptional customer service skills!
- MUST LOVE DOGS - the noise, the hair, the messes, the love, and the smiles!!!!!!!!
Requirements
- 15 years of age or older (with additional Missouri Department of Labor requirements for 15-year-olds).
- Physically moving heavy (up to 40 lbs.) of food or other supplies.
- Physically moving around play yards and interacting with dogs of various heights.
- Willing to assume the risk of minor cuts and injuries associated with active dog care.
Reporting
- General Manager
Facility Hours
- Open 7 days/week, Monday through Saturday, 6:30am to 7:00pm, Sundays and Holidays 7:00am to 10:00am and 3:00pm to 7:00pm (split shift).
Availability
- Weekends and holidays are required. Time off can be approved with advance notice and coverage.
