RCAL has an exciting opportunity for full and part time staff in our Vocational Services Department. Including Career Coordinators, Employment Specialists, and Pre-Vocational Councilors:

RCAL's Vocational Team support individuals with disabilities find and maintain employment. A valid NYS driver's license is required. RCAL staff work in a variety of programs and setting to strengthen a person’s skills and guide them through the career development process.

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is looking for a rewarding job in the human services field. All interested candidates must have experience supporting people with disabilities; a college degree is preferred.

  • Associates Degree or higher preferred with a minimum of one year of experience providing vocational or prevocational training to people with disabilities. Or, training in providing vocational rehabilitation services and two years of practical experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Career Coordinators are expected to be part of a positive team supporting people with disabilities to find and maintain careers. All Career Coordinators are expected to be creative, persuasive, and have strong interpersonal skills. Must be highly motivated as well as empathetic and have a willingness to work collectively with staff and management to achieve this mission.

3. Valid NYS driver’s license and automobile insurance that meets the requirements set by the program and our insurance company

  • Career Coordinators must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $21.00 per hour
