Job Summary
- Revolution Workshop is looking for an individual with strong relationship skills, a commitment to client-centered decision making, and dependable follow-through. The Financial Coach will work with trainees on their financial journey during their time with RW. This will ensure that our clients are prepared to navigate the financial landscape while having a career in the trades. Revolution Workshop is in a period of growth and we are excited to keep deepening our impact in the construction industry and in our local community.
Direct Reports
- This position reports directly to the Director of Career Growth Coordinator
Roles and Responsibilities:
Client-Centered Approach:
- Conduct one on one assessments and goal check-in sessions to assist each client in their financial goals while enrolled in training.
- Assist clients in creating a budget while in training and post-training.
- Teach financial capabilities classes including but not limited to; credit 101, income and expenses, budgeting 101, banking, assets and liabilities, debt, etc.
- Work with the client and RW program coordinator to navigate financial assistance provided for each client.
- Work with trainee once they become alumni to aid in the process of reaching goals.
- Attend needed trainings to provide the best services and Knowledge to trainees and alumni.
- Plan and execute financial-focused alumni workshops.
External Partnerships:
- Build relationships and rapport with local banking and financial institutions to provide services for RW.
- Coordinate guest presentations to client classes.
- Continuing education of industry trends and needs.
Data and Grant Compliance:
- Prepare key documents for the program related to each client’s financial goals, barriers, and skills.
- Maintain a confidential file of all financial work done with each client based upon grant requirements.
- Responsible for collecting and inputting all data from combined financial assessment in the organization database.
- Track relationships with banks, partners, CBOs, as our financial capabilities programming interacts with them.
- Track the financial health and wellness of alumni and their financial goals.
Teamwork
- Collaborate with RW program coordinators to help each client reach their career and financial goals.
- Collaborate with RW Alumni Service Coordinators to help each alumni to reach their financial goals.
- Work with RW team on the planning and development of Revolution Workshop programs.
- Collaborate with the Career Growth Manager to continue the buildout of client financial services.
- Assist Director of Career Growth to develop alumni financial services.
- Meet with other Financial Capabilities Coach to make sure trainees are getting accurate and same knowledge across both sites..

Work Environment
- This position is performed next to our active shop training. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moderate noise levels.
Qualifications
Required
- Knowledge and experience working with underserved individuals through approaches that emphasize resiliency, strength-based coaching, and trauma-informed care.
- Lived experience, or, at least two years experience working with diverse groups.
- Excellent computer skills – Google G Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, Gmail etc.), Microsoft Office, Excel, ability to learn new systems and databases.
- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented.
- Ability to stay organized across multiple projects at the same time.
- Takes initiative, able to anticipate program needs.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills.
- Recognize and respond to emerging priorities, allow for flexibility in your schedule.
Preferred
- At least three years working as a financial coach/financial literacy educator.
- Bachelor’s degree
