CDL Delivery Driver - Local, Monday to Friday

Duties

• Safely operate commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, to deliver goods on time and in excellent condition
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
• Follow designated route driving plans while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure timely deliveries
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to maintain optimal safety standards and report any issues promptly
• Communicate effectively with Warehouse, Customer Service and Customers to confirm delivery schedules and address any delivery-related questions or concerns
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records for compliance purposes
• Assist with warehouse duties when needed, including organizing freight and preparing shipments for delivery

Skills

• Proven experience driving commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers with a clean driving record
• Knowledge of load securement techniques for various types of freight including freight on flatbeds or in refrigerated trailers
• Familiarity with route driving best practices for local deliveries and efficient navigation within urban or suburban areas
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to truck driving, freight handling, and vehicle inspections
• Ability to handle physical tasks involved in loading/unloading freight and operating equipment like forklifts or dump trucks when required
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customer service interactions

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
