Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Job Description

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will report to the President & CEO and serve as a key member of the firm’s executive management team. The CMO will be expected to provide leadership and strategic direction for the company’s marketing initiatives, including audience/lead generation, B2B, B2C, corporate and brand marketing, public relations, creative, digital and data management and strategic digital excellence. As such, he will be responsible for directing and developing the organization’s marketing activities and marketing events and will work with the executives and other departments to identify, develop, and implement effective and productive marketing strategies, marketing brand plans, and marketing tactical plans.

The CMO will provide the team with marketing leadership and help them achieve their strategic and tactical product and market objectives as defined in the company’s strategic plan. As such, the CMO will foster a strong culture of innovation and provide thought leadership on all aspects of marketing, including digital and customer facing technology.


· Drive all marketing and branding activities. This includes:

o developing and executing a corporate positioning and messaging strategy and campaign and

o integrating all marketing messages into sales education, tools, and sales programs and

o engaging, inspiring, and galvanizing the organization around the brand vision, position and strategies so they can bring them to life in their areas of functional expertise.

· Develop and execute the company’s digital marketing strategy.

· Total oversight of and ensure strong, measurable plans in place for public relations department.

· Work with the executive team and divisional heads to identify growth plans and evaluate new market opportunities, organically and inorganically.

· Create a best in class shared service marketing organization. This includes:

o assessing current personnel and ensuring that top talent is selected for critical roles.

o proactively focusing the organization on best practices and driving continuous improvement into the marketing organization.

o providing leadership, direction, and guidance to all employees within his/her area and

o coaching and supporting his/her team as they continue to embrace new processes and innovation.

· Support the sales force by providing marketing collateral and assistance with customer meetings. This includes:

o Providing sales tools, training, and marketing programs to the field sales organization to ensure their individual success at meeting their annual operating plan.

o Overseeing marketing communications and the creation of advertising and sales promotional literature.

· Manage data sharing across the company for targeting of physicians, pharmacists, payors, and patients.

o Meet and exceed all B2B and B2C metrics for a majority of sold and internal programs.

o Establish an analytics infrastructure to measure return on investment and effectiveness.

· Establish and maintain close customer interaction. This includes working closely with clients to create reference sites for and supporting customer meetings in the field when appropriate.

· Represent the Company at various community, professional events, and business meetings to promote the Company brand and products.

· Create a best-in-class audience/lead generation practice.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $180,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
