Boston Youth Sanctuary, Inc. is an innovative therapeutic after-school program for children between the ages of 6 and 11 who have experienced traumatic events in their lives. We offer comprehensive, family-focused services through a multi-disciplinary team approach in a beautifully renovated space in Dorchester. We strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which children are encouraged to express themselves and gain sustainable skills that aid in their success at home, school, and in their communities. We proudly serve the communities of Dorchester, Roxbury, and Mattapan and seek to provide the highest quality of care to all children enrolled in our program.

Child Clinician
- Provides developmentally appropriate and culturally competent clinical services (individual and group) in accordance with best-practice treatment models and based on the specific needs of BYS youth.
- Provides therapeutic support within the program milieu as needed and assigned.
- Serves as a contributing member of the BYS multi-disciplinary team to plan and implement services, assist in program development and participate in continuous quality improvement efforts; Collaborates with all members of the BYS team
- Assists in providing consultation to multi-disciplinary team members on clinical issues and specific youth needs; Assists in staff education programs.
- Engages in administrative functions of child care including, but not limited to, attending required meetings, completing documentation, active participation in supervision and professional development opportunities.
- Participates in team meetings as needed or assigned.
- Utilizes supervision to enhance clinical practice.
- Prepares accurate, thorough, and timely documentation, record keeping and reporting in adherence with BYS standards.
- Maintains all professional licenses and or completes what is needed to acquire license.
- Has TF-CBT Certification and/or other evidenced –based practice certifications utilized by BYS, or willingness and ability to complete them.
- Provides supervision of 1-2 graduate-level interns, as needed and assigned.
Requirements: Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, behavioral science or equivalent field of study. LICSW, LMFT, LCSW or LMHC Licensed or license eligible.
Minimum of three years’ experience working with children and families.
