City Engineer

The City of Kirksville is seeking candidates for the position of City Engineer. The City Engineer will be collaborative, inclusive, tech savvy, exceptional public servant, and able to motivate and maximize the skills of staff. The position requires someone with exemplary project management, capital improvement cost estimation abilities, and contract administration skills. The City Engineer will be someone who is a problem solver and a strong desire for interacting with employees, department managers, residents and other stakeholders.. The City of Kirksville is looking for someone with an inclusive management style and clear communication skills.

Our Engineering Department is intergral to the success of City consisting of three engineering technicians and an Administrative Assistant providing construction surveying, design, drafting, plan and specification preparation, construction inspection, contract administration, right-of-way management, and subdivision infrastructure inspection.

Qualifications

Candidates should have: a Bachelor’s of Science degree in civil engineering and registration as a professional engineer in the State of Missouri; five years progressively responsible experience in a supervisory with specific experience in municipal service.

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
