Overview

Goldie Associates is seeking an experienced full-time Civil Design Engineer to work in our Seneca, SC office. A Professional Engineering (PE) license in the state of SC and 3-5 years of experience in water and sewer utilities design, and construction management is desirable. Experience working with regulatory agencies for permitting is advantageous. A working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is highly desirable, but not required. Other experience that is beneficial includes stormwater planning, civil site design, and surveying.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with clients through project meetings, site visits, and phone calls,
  • Design water lines, sewer lines, water distribution systems, pump stations, and septic systems for municipalities, industries, and developers
  • Create sediment and erosion control designs and producing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), including calculation packages
  • Develop contract documents, conducting the bidding process, and performing construction management of water and wastewater construction projects
  • Conduct field visits to inspect construction progress and to help certify constructed projects
  • Have frequent interaction with regulatory agencies; write project narratives, SWPPPs, and explanations for NPDES permits
  • Perform storm water inspections for projects during construction

Education and Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and preferably 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Possess a PE license or have passed the FE exam and be eligible to earn a PE license in SC.
