Full job description
Position Title: CNC Machine Operator II
Department: Production
Reports to: Sr. Manufacturing Engineer
Position Summary: TheCNC Machine Operator II is a mid-level position that draws on prior machining experience and technical problem-solving skills to operate various types of CNC equipment. The CNC Machine Operator II will operate multiple types of CNC machines on medium to highly complex components using automated and manual equipment and processes to meet customer needs.
FLSA: Non-exempt
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
● Responsible for changing and/or replacing broken tools independently.
● Identify issues with fixtures/processes.
● Ability to read micrometers, calipers, and microheight is a plus
● Complete tasks as assigned in a timely manner.
● Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
● May be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs.
● May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
● Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Education/Experience & Skills:
● High school diploma or general education degree (GED), related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
● Requires little supervision to identify additional tasks.
● Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated CNC experience.
● Basic math skills are required.
● Demonstrate the ability to perform secondary operations.
● Must be able to read and understand work instructions in English.
● Basic experience reading blueprints.
● Some experience with GD&T is helpful.
