Coalition Specialist

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and actively engage with each identified partner agency to enhance community awareness and mobilization around the negative effects of substance use and behavioral health. Document all networking efforts accordingly.
• Write, complete, and establish Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with community sites and social service agencies that services the target population within the service area to establish partnerships with community organizations in an effort to increase coalition support and membership.
• Collaborate with coalition members and non-members to mobilize implementation of evidence-based practices and environmental strategies that foster sustainable change in the service area focusing on behavioral health and substance misuse prevention.
• Conduct media awareness activities to educate community members on the negative effects of substance use and promote behavioral health wellness in the form of print, traditional media (TV, radio, etc.), and social media.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology/Sociology or equivalent.
• Experience working in social services, conducting presentations, networking in the community or schools or working with at risk populations is preferred.
• Current Texas driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance are required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33,000.00 per year
