Full job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Collections Clerk to join our small Family Law firm. The ideal candidate will have experience in an office environment with direct client interaction, billing and collections experience, strong communication skills, and ability to handle sensitive and financial situations calmly and professionally.
The Collections Clerk works both independently and alongside our Billing Team to collect on outstanding client payments, make collection calls, resolve billing disputes, set up and enforce payment plans, prepare accounts for collections, keep detailed collections effort records, cross train on monthly invoicing to assist when Billing Coordinator out-of-office, assist Billing Team with time-sensitive projects and the all-hands-on-desk monthly invoicing, and more.
This position also acts as an Administrative Assistant and covers the reception desk about 2 days per week on average. This position joins the Administrative Team in covering reception and providing general administrative backup for help during busy times, team absences, and other special projects or times of need.
Like many of the staff positions here, this position works out of both the Arlington Heights and the Lombard office. (most likely 2 days in Arlington Heights and 3 days in Lombard)
This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday 9am-5:30pm and Friday 9am-4pm.
- Monday-Wednesday 9am-5:30pm, Thursday 9am-4:30pm, Friday 9am-4pm
- Up to one evening per week, by appointment only (flex time accrued)
- Up to one Saturday per month, scheduled in advance, by appointment only (flex time accrued)

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
