** SIGN ON BONUS- $2500**
Position summary: The Mechanical/Controls technician is responsible for day-to-day activities that include mechanical service and preventive maintenance of all types of equipment and controls system service to include, communication issues, VAV boxes, VAV controller programming, and box repairs.
Position responsibilities:
· Troubleshoot and repair clients mechanical HVAC and controls systems.
· Perform scheduled maintenance on mechanical HVAC and controls systems.
· Start up and analyze HVAC systems.
· Complete documentation for assigned tasks.
· Coordinate and communicate activities with the client.
· Implement and test control applications for commercial HVAC systems (air side and water side) and stand-alone equipment.
· Respond to customer service calls (emergency, on-site, or on-line); checks indicated points of trouble; analyzes full requirements of system; checks and tests system components.
· Diagnose trouble or defect; determines corrective action and repairs system.
· Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on automation system and components according to service agreement contracts.
· Test and verify system readings ensuring an optimal system operation.
· Identify additional chargeable opportunities including time and material work, system upgrades, and service contract expansion.
· Completes and submits service orders and reports covering all aspects of each assignment.
· Deliver technical support, and direction to end users and field labor when needed.
· Communicate professionally and thoroughly with CCAC team, clients, and vendors.
· Perform all duties in a safe manner complying with OSHA regulations and company rules.
· Other duties as requested by supervisor.
Essential skills, knowledge, and experience:
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building controls and automation, including troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair DDC systems.
· Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial mechanical service.
· High school diploma; associate’s degree preferred. ·
· Intermediate knowledge/experience with Niagara AX and/or Niagara 4 required
· Familiar with BACnet IP, TCP/IP, LonTalk, SQL and Modbus protocols (preferred).
· Excellent verbal and written communication and customer relation skills; team player.
· Must possess a valid driver's license.
· Time management; organizational skills.
· Adaptability; dependability; flexibility; integrity.

The employee must possess finger dexterity, including the ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs. with a push/pull maximum of 30 lbs. This position requires the employee to stand up to 95% of the shift. Vision abilities include close, distant, and color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
§ Work conditions:While performing the position responsibilities of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time; including humidity, cold, and heat. The noise level in the work environment is minimal.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
