Commercial Real Estate Leasing and Sales Position:
BEI CRE is a commercial real estate company based in Batavia Illinois and services the Tri – City area and western suburbs. BEI has been serving the local market for 65 years and is a trusted name within the community.
We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude and mindset to develop a new territory along I90, I88 or I55. You will be responsible for developing third party relationships for sales and leasing functions. You will be calling on property owners and business owners to assist with their commercial real estate needs. You will be showing space, reviewing and negotiating new lease, sale or purchase transactions for Industrial, Office, Retail and other commercial investment properties for your third party clients.
The candidate filling this role will be a full-time employee, eligible for full benefits, and receive a base salary plus commission.
Essential Functions:
1. Identify new opportunities for revenue growth by cold calling, networking, referrals and other sales activities approved by the Director of Leasing and Sales.
2. Actively lease, sell or purchase commercial space for your new third party clients.
3. Build relationships in the communities and networking groups to help grow your commercial real estate business.
4. Maintain an accurate in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the assigned territories; to include all vacancies, current tenants, and lease expirations.
5. Effectively and continuously articulate the features and benefits of your listings of properties to brokers and prospects directly, through meetings, presentations, real estate organizations, on-line databases, mailings and any other marketing channels.
6. Maintain open lines of communication with the Director of Leasing and Sales on market conditions and marketplace feedback and meet in the office twice a week.
7. Creation, implementation and control of forecasting for your territory.
8. Maintain records of your transactions, Letter of Intent’s, closing statements, leases, etc.
9. Develop and input a pipeline of property owners and business owners from the week of calling.
10. Meet Gross Commission quotas set by the Director of Leasing and Sales.
11. Dependable and on time.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
1.a. Minimum two (2) years prior Commercial Real Estate experience selling, leasing or buying real estate for your clientele and
1.b. Active real estate license, in good standing with the IDFPR
2. Bachelor’s degree in business administration/marketing or equivalent work experience a plus.
3. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along well with diverse personalities, tactful, mature and flexible.
4. Ability to operate independently and “self-manage” projects.
5. Sound administrative and management skills.
6. Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
7. High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities.
8. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Desire to achieve higher educational or professional skill levels.
11. The ability to utilize Microsoft Office and other programs.
12. Provide last 2 years of Gross Commissions earned.
