Commercial Real Estate Leasing and Sales Position:
BEI CRE is a commercial real estate company based in Batavia Illinois and services the Tri – City area and western suburbs. BEI CRE has been serving the local market for 65 years and, with over 800,000 SF of commercial space under management and over 400 tenants in the portfolio, is a trusted name within the community.
We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude and mindset to join our leasing team. You will be part of the team that is responsible for leasing functions, which include qualifying potential tenants, showing space, reviewing and negotiating new leases and renewal transactions for Industrial, Office, Retail, and Residential Apartments. The position will oversee the completion of all necessary paperwork, productivity, budget inputs, and ensure proper customer service while protecting the interests of the Company.
The candidate filling this role will be a full-time employee, eligible for full benefits, and receive a base salary plus unlimited commission potential.
Essential Functions:
1. Identify new opportunities for revenue growth by cold calling, networking, referrals and other sales activities approved by the Director of Leasing and Sales.
2. Actively lease commercial space in the portfolio of properties under management by closing new tenants.
3. Build relationships in the communities and networking groups to help lease vacant spaces.
4. Maintain an accurate in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the assigned properties; to include all vacancies, current tenants, and lease expirations.
5. Effectively and continuously articulate the features and benefits of the assigned properties to brokers and prospects directly, through meetings, presentations, real estate organizations, on-line databases, mailings and any other marketing channels.
6. Maintain open lines of communication with the Director of Leasing and Sales on market conditions and marketplace feedback.
7. Creation, implementation and control of forecasting for leasing department.
8. Maintain company records, leases and leasing pipeline through computer programs utilized by BEI CRE.
9. Dependable and on time.
10. Required to obtain an Illinois Real Estate license during the first 6 months after hire, which will be paid for by BEI CRE, which will enable employee to generate additional opportunities to earn commissions.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
1. Minimum one (1) year prior sales, leasing or real estate experience
2. Bachelor’s degree in business administration/marketing or equivalent work experience a plus.
3. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along well with diverse personalities, tactful, mature and flexible.
4. Ability to operate independently and “self-manage” projects.
5. Sound administrative and management skills.
6. Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
7. High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities.
8. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Desire to achieve higher educational or professional skill levels.
11. The ability to utilize Microsoft Office and other programs.
