Community Engagement Specialist


Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm


Under the guidance of the Executive Director, the Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for customer recruitment and retention, community awareness efforts, and education in support of Cornerstone of Hope, Inc.’s mission to sustain non-profits through employment services, human resources, and fundraising.


  • Attend community-based organization meetings, trade shows, events, and other opportunities that promote the agency.
  • Network with job seekers, placement sites, employees, and businesses to assist the Executive Director in building relationships.
  • Design, plan, and organize professional development services for job seekers, employees, placement sites, and non-profits agencies.
  • Create, refine, and offer programs to raise awareness of agency’s services.
  • Recruit and retain job seekers, placement sites and employees.
  • Maintain documentation of recruitment and retention efforts, community awareness efforts, and educational interactions.
  • Expand and oversee brand consistency across marketing materials and promotional publications.
  • Manage the agency’s Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
  • Update the agency’s website content as needed.
  • Strategize and direct fundraising efforts along with the Executive Director.
  • Travel as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Evidence of strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with staff and external agencies.
  • Skills in problem solving, planning and organization, exercising independent judgment and attention to detail.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills, including correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain highest levels of confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point, etc. and Adobe.
  • Knowledge of Social Media Platforms.
  • Written and oral comprehension.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
