The Community Impact & Marketing Associate supports and advances the United Way's mission to improve lives through mobilizing the caring power of the community. This position is responsible for leading the planning, execution and evaluation of all special events, programs, direct services and community services/efforts. This position also oversees all marketing and promotional efforts, such as digital media, website management/development, social media, and local advertising for the United Way of Adams County.

Essential Functions:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with program volunteers, supporters and recipients of services.
  • Research and identify funding support and opportunities for events, programs, services and efforts.
  • Represent the United Way at public functions, local committees, clubs, boards, collaborative efforts and more.
  • Work together with United Way staff team to conduct activities, lead programs and special events, resolve issues that may arise, and assist with duties when needed.
  • Design and promote marketing materials and create advertisements in a timely manner that is conducive to when events/programs take place; manage all social media and digital engagement to attract followers and supporters for all United Way efforts year-round.
  • Manage website content on a timely basis that is suitable for programs/events happening at the time. Keep content up to date and current.
  • Evaluation of programs/services/special event results to ensure continual growth and positive impact in the community. Make improvements as needed for high quality services.
  • Develop, maintain and cultivate a solid volunteer base for support with all United Way special events, programs and services throughout the year.
  • Any other duties as assigned at any time.

  • Computer skills including Microsoft programs, email, etc.
  • Phone and email etiquette
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize day-to-day tasks is a must.

Work Environment/Physical & Mental Demands:

  • Ability to work in an office setting and also outdoor setting. The job may involve using a computer screen for an extended amount of time or standing for extended lengths of time. This position involves the ability to lift up to 50 pounds from time to time.
  • Work day may include occasional evenings and weekends, depending on time of year and specific programs.

Salary: $35,000-$42,000 annual salary based on experience. Benefits and vacation are available.
