About United Way of Pueblo County (UWPC):
· Vision: Be a catalyst for sustainable community-driven change to build a healthy future with empowerment for all.
· Mission: To serve as a trusted community leader by leveraging resources in support of collaborative solutions.
· History: Since 1923, United Way of Pueblo County has played a crucial role in our community by providing basic needs and creating opportunities that have lasting effects. Although the organization has had name changes over time, such as the Community Chest, United Fund, and finally, United Way, its focus has always remained the same — to serve our community, build resiliency, and make this region a better place for all who call it home.
· Impact: In just the past five years, we have leveraged more than $17.6 million through funds raised, emergency assistance administration, in-kind contributions, volunteer time, and dollars reinvested into the community through our outreach efforts and programs. We currently serve 17 counties in Colorado.
Scope of Position: The Community Resource Hub Coordinator will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and launching a Community Hub. The Community Hub shall provide critical information on services and resources available in Pueblo County. Responsibilities include: serving as the front-line resource navigator, assessing community needs, coordinating services, building relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of effective programs and resources. The coordinator serves as a key point of contact for individuals, partners, and service providers.
The goal of this project is to ensure that Pueblo County has local sustainable services and resources available, accessible, and responsive to all community members, and it is the norm to connect with these services proactively and preventatively. We will achieve this through focused agency collaboration and community capacity building to design, coordinate, and launch a community hub.
We believe that transformational change is possible by working closely with the community and key partners to address the community conditions that hold families back from success.
