Compliance Specialist

We seek an experienced Compliance Specialist to join our amazing Blue Marble Compliance team in beautiful Ashland, Oregon. The Compliance Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet all relevant safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. This position will also work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate compliance and quality throughout the product lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with Creating and maintaining documents for the department including Children’s Product Certificates, General Product Certificates, Technical Files in accordance with US, Canada, Australia, and European Toy regulations.
• Provide documentation to retailers as requested via e-mail or uploading into on-line portals.
• Provide testing documentation to sales team on an as needed basis.
• Partner with Director of Compliance to provide support throughout the development process by evaluating samples and packaging artwork.
• Collaborate with Graphic Design team to revise packaging and instructions with relevant compliance information as needed.
• Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.

Desired Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Associate Degree or higher preferred.
• 3 years of experience in compliance related field.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, including using appropriate grammar when completing documentation.
• Ability to work within a highly collaborative environment while also working independently on projects.
• Ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedule and meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills and able to communicate any concerns within project.
• Inquisitive, thoughtful, and eager to learn.
