SEMPRE is bringing together leading technologies to create the first high-performance, edge computing solution with diverse, secure communications including private 5G, all in a tamper-resistant, EMP-hardened enclosure. Designed to secure and bridge existing communications infrastructure or to operate as a stand-alone solution, the SEMPRE Total Infrastructure Device provides connectivity to previously inaccessible areas.

About You.
We're looking for an experienced Configuration and Test Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in working with many technologies and disciplines such as networking, Linux OS, databases, scalability, virtualization, and testing tools. Along with a diverse technical acumen, the candidate should have an equally strong ability to think about new and innovative approaches to solving problems. This role will consist of creating an automated software configuration and test solution, for all parts of the SEMPRE system.

What You'll Do:
- Write clean, fast, well-designed, well-tested, readable, and maintainable code
- Engage in code reviews to ensure code quality as well as share and distribute knowledge
- Work independently on projects from idea to execution
- Actively collaborate in all engineering discussions, evangelizing engineering best practices
- Own, create, or review technical design proposals and proof of concepts
- Ability to jump in and develop testing solutions for most any part of the system
- Work with internal development staff and external partners when necessary
- Documenting processes and procedures
The Requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or a related quantitative degree
- 5+ years of software development experience in Linux environment
- Breadth of knowledge in hardware and software systems
- Use of test frameworks and automation testing tools - required
- Experience with virtualization (KVM) and containerization
- Heavy use of scripting (bash shell, python) - required
- Use of SQL databases
- Expertise in Git, Jira and Linux development environments
- Detail-oriented, critical thinker, self-motivated, enthusiastic, resourceful, personable and customer-focused
- Ability to convey complex technical information to a variety of functions and levels within the organization
- Passionate about code quality, continuous delivery, and automated testing
- Comfortable challenging yourself, and the team, to improve how we work
This position requires someone living in the Colorado Springs area of the United States, with the ability to qualify for a U.S. Government security clearance.
