We are seeking a Construction Administrator to oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation of a variety of commercial projects throughout the Lansing, Jackson, Battle Creek and Kalamazoo areas.

The ideal person is highly organized, proactive, and flexible, able to represent our company in a professional, courteous manner. Critical thinking and strong written communication skills are an integral part of this position.

This job is performed in our Lansing office as well as onsite for projects throughout mid-Michigan. Clear communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are crucial in this role supporting our construction project managers. We are looking to grow our team to complete projects in the Lansing, Jackson, Battle Creek and Kalamazoo areas starting in early May. Due to COVID-19, interviews and orientation may be completed remotely.


  • Establish and maintain highly organized electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Work as part of a team, successfully interacting with employees, clients, and suppliers.
  • Perform general office duties including document preparation, mailing, faxing, proofreading, organization of Draw Packages, and more.
  • Possible website development and maintenance, and assistance with marketing.
  • Research policies, procedures, regulations, and products, and develop new procedures, plans, and contracts based upon best practices and available templates.
  • Prepare building permit and bond applications.
  • Prepare and submit AIA documents such as Draw Packages
  • Execute subcontracts; organize subcontractor information for insurance audits.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Technical writing capabilities.
  • Familiarity with sworn statements, AIA billings, and subcontract management.
  • Experience with file management, submittals, and closeout documents.
  • Knowledge of a construction environment preferred.
  • Five or more years of professional experience or related course work preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year

Pay may depend on skills and/or qualifications
