PROJECT MANAGER, CONSTRUCTION TEAM

Bode Equipment Company is a turn-key distributor of material handling systems, construction, and loading dock/door solutions. Since 1975, we have offered design, layout, sales, installation, and service throughout New England. Headquartered in Londonderry, NH and having a branch location in Marlborough, Massachusetts, we are well positioned to service our clients throughout the region.

Summary:

The construction department provides a wide variety of services to cater to our customer’s requirements including project scope, contracting and estimation, permitting, on-site project management, designing and building of pre-engineered metal buildings, new construction/additions, reroof and retrofits, interior fit ups to include design, layout, and renovation of manufacturing/warehouse space. The construction department also handles special projects including interior/exterior openings, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, concrete, and masonry.

The Project manager will work in sync with the construction team to deliver superior service on site to our Customers. Provide on-site project management including oversight of sub-contractors, safety and compliance, and adherence to project budgets and timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • On-site project management including direction of sub-contractors and be the Bode representative with Clients.
  • Provide project management assistance to support the project management team
  • Planning and execution of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Oversee applicable safety compliance and project documentation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients.
  • Travel within the New England states to project sites.
  • Monitor project progress and workforce requirements to achieve schedule deadlines and budget targets.
  • Anticipate, identify, and resolve issues affecting project scope, quality, effort, risk, and timeline.
  • Communicate with stakeholders the issues and conditions that may affect project deliverables and/or project cost.
  • Provide input to invoice approval, customer billing, and other relevant project documents.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Project Management for various types of commercial construction projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or other related field a plus
  • The selected candidate must take pride in a job well done, be able to manage administrative duties in a timely manner.
  • Organization, attention to detail and experience working with subcontractors are all a plus.
  • Strong project management and customer service skills
  • Detail oriented and organized, having critical thinking skills
  • Pleasant and professional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong people skills and an ability to interact with different personality types
  • Able to work independently as well as with a team
  • An overall sense of urgency to get the job done right.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with NetSuite or equivalent ERP System is a plus
