Position

Construction Supervisor

Summary:

Directly supervise and coordinate onsite construction activities for upstream oil and gas production facilities, Pipelines, Gas Plants, and SWD facilities. Support the construction manager and project manager(s) in controlling the quality, cost, safety, and productivity performance of the construction team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in preconstruction meetings
  • Assist Construction Superintendent and Project Manager to ensure that project is carried out as designed
  • Review bill of materials and construction drawings for accuracy prior to construction
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and plans including P&IDs, General Arrangements, ISOs, Piping Plans, and Civil Plans
  • Oversee construction of well pads and civil work: caliche pads, leveling and layout, containment, rebar placement, concrete pours
  • Read and follow construction plans, build of material lists and guidelines, and apply necessary timelines
  • Organize, supervise, and lead crews to complete projects
  • Organize construction crews and coordinate simultaneous operations (SIMOPS)
  • Conduct safety activities and issue safety permit forms
  • Complete and organize field generated documentation including JSAs, permits, and integrity test reports
  • Perform inspections of in-progress work and identify corrective actions
  • Track and complete punch list items throughout the construction phase to post-commissioning
  • Identify, report, correct, and document unsafe behaviors and near misses
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized construction site free of hazards and trash
  • Submit daily reports to include work activity accomplished and daily costs, along with photos of construction progress and upload into company systems
  • Assist and work with Supply Chain with inventory control and tracking

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or higher education
  • 10-15 years of experience in oil & gas industry construction/project management (from concept to commissioning)
  • Understand oil and gas production processes, facility operations, construction methods and mechanical principles
  • Knowledge of parts, materials, and equipment common to oil & gas industry
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal skills, focus on collaborative solutions and positive working relationships
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess strong leadership and supervisory abilities
  • Provide excellent critical thinking and root cause analysis for problem-solving, monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Effective in time management, planning, scheduling, and prioritizing multiple resource activities as well as concurrent projects to meet deadlines
  • Display the ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain documentation under changing, tight deadlines
  • Understanding and application of safety best practices
  • Ability to read and understand engineer designs, schematics, diagrams, and prints
  • Exhibit computer skills and knowledge of relevant technology in using programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Construction/Project Management Software and Outlook

Work Location:

Full time on construction sites within the Permian Basin with regular travel between sites and Midland, Texas area. Some Midland Corporate Office and Warehouse work will be required at times.

Travel:

This position requires regional travel for project assignments, meetings, and training, and possible overnight stays. The job may also involve participating in unscheduled callouts and extended workdays and/or workweeks.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

Subject to varying outdoor elements: heat, rain, and cold. Exposure to elevated noise. Physical ability to kneel, lift, pull and push, reach, crouch, stand, stoop, walk, talk, and lift.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
