Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Assist in menu planning to ensure a diverse and appealing selection of meals.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all food handling processes.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
• Provide exceptional customer service while serving meals to residents or guests.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food items to minimize waste and maintain quality.
• Participate in catering events as needed, showcasing fine dining experiences.
• Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation and presentation.
• Support the dietary department in maintaining inventory levels and ordering supplies as necessary.

Skills

• Experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
• Strong background in menu planning and fine dining experience is advantageous.
• Proficient in food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food service operations.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
• Prior experience in restaurants or kitchen environments is highly desirable.
• Culinary experience with demonstrated knife skills is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
